Real-Time Animated GIF Wall · Interactive Event Experience
Urban Linker Paris was an interactive event experience developed by Blow Factory around real-time photography, animation and audience participation.
During the event, guests were photographed in short sequences by a professional photographer. A custom application processed the incoming images and transformed each sequence into an animated GIF, which immediately became part of a continuously evolving visual wall displayed throughout the event.
The experience connected live photography, custom software and visual content in real time, turning the guests themselves into part of the event’s visual identity.
From portrait to animation
Blow Factory developed the application and real-time workflow that connected the photographer directly to the visual installation.
Each photographic sequence was received and processed during the event, assembled into a short animated GIF and integrated into the live visual feed. New portraits continuously entered the system, creating an evolving collective wall made from the people attending the event.
A live visual identity built by the guests
The installation evolved throughout the event as new participants were photographed and added to the system.
Rather than displaying a predetermined sequence of content, the visual wall was generated by the event itself. Photography, animation and live display became a single participatory experience, with each guest contributing to the collective composition.
From live experience to personal takeaway
The experience continued beyond the event itself. After the live performance, the photographic sequences and animated GIFs were prepared for delivery to the participants, giving each guest a personal piece of the installation they had helped create.
A complete interactive experience
Blow Factory developed the project from concept through live execution, combining creative direction, custom application development, visual design and event production.
The work included the interactive concept, art direction, application design and development, real-time image processing workflow, animated GIF generation, visual system design, screen and projection integration, on-site installation and live operation.
